Winterthoughts

By Matilda Arvidsson

I winterwant to lay

and glance at glazing stars.

I wonderfind my self

five galaxies from here.

“Is this the way to clarity?”

a moonbeam stops to ask.

I gigglesmile and wave

him off the other way.

I doublehope and think

aloud, perhaps too loud,

of summerlives ahead

while on my snowdrift bed.
