Riccardo Carta is a native Italian speaker, and many of his short stories are set on the island of Sardinia. He is inspired by the nostalgia he feels for the Mediterranean island that he left six years ago. He is currently living in Lund, Sweden, studying to become a teacher in Italian and English.
Berndt Clavier teaches at Malmö University. His courses move in the boundary between the humanities and social sciences. In 2007, he published John Barth and Postmodernism: Spatiality, Travel, Montage (Peter Lang) and is currently working a book on race and ethnicity in Swedish society.
Jenny Karlsson grew up in Luleå, Sweden and is presently studying English at Malmö University. Her work has been published previously in Shipwrights (she was short-listed for the Conrad-Nobakov Prize) and will also appear in the 4th issue of Frostwriting Magazine. English is her second language.
Belica Kubareli was born in Athens, Greece, in 1958. She has published seven novels and translated fifty books. She has studied theater, English literature, sociology, and creative writing.

Ceyda Nielsen has begun to take writing more seriously thanks to taking a chance in writing in English, her second language, in the creative writing courses offered by Malmo University. Though originally from Turkey, she now resides in the UK, and apart from trying to get into an MA in creative writing, she spends her time creating multidisciplinary poetry and art compiled into books for her new, small independent press for second language writers.
E. O’Riley is an Uh-merican living in Sweden. She has worked as a bikini waxer, lumber jacker, and tarot card reader. She is currently plugging away at a degree in Language and Cultural Studies.
Charlotte Webb has dual Australian-British citizenship, but was born and raised down under. She has a masters degree in English literature from Lund University and has resided in Sweden since 2003. She currently lives inMalmö.
